MAIL CONFIGURATION

Configure an alternate SMTP port if you have trouble sending mail from darius.

If you can receive your mail on darius but can't use it (mail.mobius-soft.com) to send mail, it's possible your ISP is blocking port 25. You can tell for sure if you can't telnet to mail.mobius-soft.com 25, or if telneting to it times out. Darius is running an SMTP server on port 10025 in addition to port 25. So, you can set your outgoing mail (SMTP) port to 10025 in your email client to get around this problem. You also need to set the "SMTP server requires authentication" option in your email client. This option is explained in the second section below.

Configure Outlook or Outlook Express for your darius account with these settings.
  1. From the Tools menu, select "Accounts...".
  2. Click on the "Mail" tab.
  3. Select your darius mail account and click "Properties".
  4. Click the "Servers" tab.
  5. Set "Incoming mail (POP3)" to "mail.mobius-soft.com".

  7. Set "Account name" and "Password" to your darius username and password.

  2. Under "Outgoing Mail Server" check "My server requires authentication".
